Perhaps one the most important times for a coach is the weeks immediately following the season. During this time you get the chance to look at what worked and what didn’t, locate successes and failures, analyze all of it and make a rough plan for how to do better next season.
This process isn’t always easy. It’s not fun to come home after that final loss (or win) and immediately start unpacking the minutia of the last 6 months. But, in order to take steps forward, it must be done. We’ve created a worksheet to help you dive into the behind the scenes aspects of your team’s performance on the floor.
Ready for the worksheet now? Download it here.
In the worksheet we’ve suggested some questions to ask yourself, but remember your team is unique so feel free to customize those questions to your situation. Also, the real benefit will come not from just reading the worksheet, but by taking a long look at yourself, your team, and your processes.
This is our first worksheet and we’d welcome your feedback so please let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
